Here you can see Dr. Lida Cope, mentor and adviser to the group of graduate students (also pictured) who organized TALGS 2009. With the group is Dr. Jodi Crandall, this year's plenary speaker.
I am Robert Bruce Scott (Robb)
and I am the editor and founder
of the ESL MiniConference Online,
a Web-based newsletter for teachers
of ESL and EFL around the world.
I have started this blog to help
me organize my reporting on an
upcoming event--the 6th Annual
TALGS Conference at East Carolina
University in Greenville, North
Carolina. I have been promoting
TALGS for several years on the
ESL MiniConference, and have
published their reports on the
event a couple of times as well.
Anyway, I'm getting ready to go
to TALGS myself this year, and
hopefully the blog will allow
me to give readers a sense of
what it's like right there as
things are happening. If you
would like to add reporting
from your own ESL/EFL event
to the new ESL MiniConference
blog, you are most welcome to
do so. In many cases, I will
probably follow up with e-mails
to you so that we can publish
a regular article about the
event in a quarterly issue
of the newsletter as well.
Thanks for reading!
